authors choice - weekend free for all challenge - this challenge is a little
bit different. Back-story for the challenge...using these challenge areas

check out the many challenges and plot bunnies, and write as many responses
to these as you can over the weekend. I don't care if the responses are
drabbles, limericks, ficlets, or the beginning of something longer. Just
burn through the challenges that catch your muse and share with us. Single
fandom/theme lists & comms, over the weekend, you are encouraged to post in
whatever fandom you want. Same thing about the challenges, if something in a
specific fandom catches your muse for another fandom, run with it. the idea
is to get stories. Just be sure to alert folks in the sub ine if the story
is in a different fandom or genre.

Oh and for those back-burnered WIPs...throw those into the mix as well...in
other words they count as part of a challenge, even if they aren't part of
one. I challenge you to write as many WIP chapters as possible this weekend.
Please post the complete to date WIP so we don't have to go searching, or at
least a link to the prevous work

There you have it guys. anyone up for it? word...I'm thinking of making this
a weekend event so if you don't have time this weekend, use the time over
this week to do your bits for next weekend.

Chet Kelly smiled dreamily, his dark eyes roaming over the naked slumbering
man beside him. His gaze slid hungrily over the lightly furred chest,
fingers caressing the path of his glace, smoothing the crisp dark curls with
a tenderness he had not thought himself capable of. Most certainly not for
this man. Oh no, not ever this man...

His bedmate murmured a soft appreciation, turning into the sweet stroking
caress in his sleep and hugged him close, him name a sigh in the darkness.

The sweet unspoken consent brought a grin beaming from Chet. The last hours
played through his mind. The pranks had been bordering on cruel this time.
The screaming fight had just seemed like the next logical step. Chet hadn't
believed he'd actually slammed a fist into Johnny's chin, and from the
stunned silence that had overcome Johnny, neither could he.

But that only lasted a moment. Johnny had let loose a wild whoop, hurling
himself at the smaller man. They had come together like two raging bulls,
each intent on the submission of the other.

Chet had no idea when the fighting had stopped being a battle for blood, but
suddenly the fists had been replaced by lips, the kicking and scrambling had
taken on a scrambling of another kind, one to draw each other close.

Buttons popped. Zips sprang. Clothes ripped.

The first brush of skin on skin seemed to freeze time. Eyes searched deeply.
Fingers caressed faces and they shared breath, leaning into each other for
that first tender, testing kiss.

The man at his side was no longer a antagonist. John Gage, wise cracking,
golden boy of the squad was Chet Kelly's lover.

Lover.

He rolled the word over on his tongue, savoring the word and all it meant.

They were lovers.

He chuckled softly, sliding down to pillow his head against Johnny's chest.
He pressed a kiss against Johnny's chest, earning himself a heaving humph
and a murmured, "Mustache tickles"

Johnny brushed a kiss over the top of Chet's head adding a sleep drugged.
"Love you, Chet."

Chet sighed his contentment. Johnny Gage, the stud of the station had said
he loved him. Well, stranger things had happened.

"Love you too." he whispered, his eyes succumbing to the pull of sleep.
"Love you....too"

WWOMBs Speed Writing Write Off Event

The speed writing write off is officially Saturday thru this Monday this
week, but folk have various days off so you can unoficially do the speed
writing challenge at any time you have a 24 - 48 hour block of time...your
personal weekend, as it were.

The challenge is to write as many stories in all fandoms or genres that you
can in the specified block of time. the stories can be in the form of
poetry, ficlets, drabbles and chapters...whatever you're inspired to write.
This is a good time to check off chapters of those impending WIPs or plot
bunnies that have been clambering for attention.

PromptsRUs is about a month old, but I'm posting up to 20-30 prompts a day
there. It currently has many authors choice prompts and challenges, as well
as prompts/challenges for these fandoms....

7 days, adventure inc, airwolf, avatar: the last airbender, batman, becker,
buffy, burn notice, castle,
charmed, chuck, cold case, csi, csi miami, damages, diagnosis murder, dr
strange, dr who, emergency, ghost whisperer, greek, hercules, hustle, legend
of the seeker, leverage, lie to me, life on mars, lost, lost world, mchales
navy, moonlight, ncis, nightmare cafe, point pleasant, primeval, reaper,

AdoptAPlotBunny has been around for a couple years. Its got even more
challenges, in even more fandoms, but the frequency of challenges there
isn't the same as the above, sorry bout that.

The WWOMB challenge page has challenges from all my lists, posted by me and
the list sibs, and has challenges dating back to '99.

The fandom specific challenges can be adapted to authors choice. so that's
the challenge, burn through those pending WIPs and whatever challenges that
catch your muse and share with us.

Single fandom/theme lists & comms, over the weekend, you are encouraged to
post in whatever fandom you want. Be sure to alert folks in the sub line if

 opened a new list/comm for your consideration. the list is for short and
quick stories, although it does allow chapters posted if a story decides to
grow. daily prompts are sent out (todays prompts are listed below) but you
don't have to stick to them, if you have a muse nagging, follow it
   Any and all fandoms as well as original pieces. Come share your works of
short fiction. I'll be posting a series of prompts every day (well...there
may be one or two days I miss if RL messes with me) You can post stories
from these prompts or go in whatever direction your muses direct you. If
you'd like to share old stories or your short fic has a sudden growth
spurt...or you tend to write in chapters, that's kewl as well.
