Travis Prinslow headed up admissions here at Faerieworlds since I knew him - and made it a point to stay on everything he needed to do as white stays on rice. His sheer energy in his work just flat-out astounded me - and, in fact, intimidated me just a little bit.
I only had contact with him at these events; even so, he was enjoyable to chat with.
This page, however, comes about because he had passed on in July of 2017. I would rather not place what I know through rumor up on this page. I will, however, write that he was surrounded by those who were closest to him and loved him.
At the end of July of 2017, a wake was held in Salem at a spot in a park that was particularly holy to him. I regret not getting shots of this.
This set, however, is for a celebration that was held at Faerieworlds in his honor on July 27 - the Saturday of the event - at 16:00 PDT. I didn't get anything at the starting point, but I did where we wound up - what was ultimately his camp site on the grounds at Horning's Hideout. I was pitched just up the hill from him.
All considered, I got teary-eyed just working on this particular set.
His ashes were scattered at his tent site - you'll see this in one of the photos, behind the second shot of the altar. As to his coat - which one rarely saw him without - it was sent to Burning Man 2017 to be burned at the Temple.
Travis, if you can read this, we already miss you - and yet, this is not the end....
