For those who have seen my other work, one can vouch for the fact that much of my work at a convention revolves around costumes and such like this, and I have this horrible habit of shooting until I have either dehydrated myself, exhausted myself aside from dehydration, or, historically, have simply run dry on my film supply. (Acquiring a digital camera has solved the latter problem.) But of all the cons I've been to, this one seems to have been entirely free of drama (furry cons), fangirl or fanboyishness (anime cons), and, somewhat regretfully, something meaty on a stick or bone (rennaisance faires) - and for ren faire, the "something meaty on a stick" (being overpriced, generally undersatisfying, and generally overrated) is perhaps the one thing I could actually come up with as pervasively problematic, and that's saying something. Granted, there was overpriced breadbowl soup, and it's my own damn fault for eating that. But, I digress. Much fun was had, and this was a nice relaxng thing to go to. |
