This was the first time that Faeriecon made it to Seattle, and for this, they decided to forego the winter ball that had historically happened in Eugene, OR. This particular event happened at the Renaissance Hotel in downtown Seattle, WA. Overall, I had a blast. The only bad things that happened, as near as I can tell, were to me: I had dislocated my left kneecap on Saturday late afternoon, which sent me to the emergency room, and when that happened, my camera was damaged, necessitating repairs. Good news - nothing torn, was nothing more than a severe sprain, and I had a spare camera (my old Nikon I bought back five years ago).
And when I did come back on Sunday, the hotel was glad to assist me - they had loaned me a wheelchair so I could get around without crutches, and even comped valet parking for me. This made me incredibly happy, as I was able to return Sunday and continue, without delaying my knee healing up properly. So for this, kudos go to Eric Pope and one other woman, who waited with me while the ambulance rolled up to haul me to the hospital, and high recommendations for the hotel this was held at - despite the parking thing.
