For this year, the event space was at the host's shop, Crescent Moon Gifts, in the hilltop neighborhood of Tacoma. This provided a few advantages - for one thing, Angela was able to put the event on for no cost to attendees, making for more of a "block party" feeling to the event. There was also a date change to the weekend after Memorial Day, as this would be an event htat was almost entirely outdoors. And because it was almost entirely outdoors, we had the ability to have fire dancers this year - mostly because the previous facilities (Green River College and Freighthouse Square) understandably have a little bit of a problem with people waving flaming torches around inside of their very wooden buildings.
