Update, 07Sep2019 Fixed issues in RF 4's directory - exif tags for orientation had not been removed, and this caused photos in "portrait" orientation to appear sideways. In 2007, I was security staff. In 2008, I had retired from this In 2009, my insanity kicked in, and I volunteered to get involved in semi-automating the convention schedule using Google's setup. 2010 brought forth the aforementioned calendar - which went quite well, actually. I ended this project at the end of 2013, as a mobile app called "My Conbook" does it much better than I do. To be clear, I harbor no ill feelings at all toward the con staff - the 2013 run was just my time to be done with it, and what I was doing for the digital calendar was done better by another group. This, of course, is the archive of all years of this show that I've photographed - and I attended every run of this convention until it ended. As to the end of this show, a lot had been said about it - some say it was the drugs, some say it was other things, but at the end it boils down to this: it was tens of thousands of dollars of damage at an increasing rate over the last few years, and nobody in the staff wanted to put a stop to it for fear of ruining others' fun. And yet, the irony is that not putting a stop to this destruction by removing the miscreants ruined others' fun. Granted, that doesn't sound ironic - but when you think of it, there is irony to be had. Still, as much as it made me feel like I needed to move away from the fandom a bit, I still miss this show. There are, as of the time I edit this file about four years after the last run, other furry conventions in the area. I have not, however, attended them; my tastes tend more toward the Fae than the Fur of late.
