This year, I made it to the dance on Friday night. Didn't participate, but usually I'm a bit of a wallflower anyway. =^_^=
Most of what I go for, though, is the "shiny" factor. When I went to Animagic back in 2000, one thing I did was go to the dance to watch people playing around with the light sticks, and the film camera at the time ran on a long shutter. I have those photos around somewhere, they're just not online; hopefully I'll find them. Point being, though, that I think the film shots with a cheap film DLR came out better than these shots.
Still, I got a few good ones out of this run.
